i hate being a whiner but sometimes i just feel so sad. i'm envious.
this thought occurred while discussing asian american issues: white people never have to deal with racism. now, just sit back and take that in for a moment. can you imagine not having to deal with the bullshit many of us minorities have had to experience growing up? the racial slurs, the genuinely honest mistakes that also happen to be the most ignorant. the latter is the worst. it's like when a little child asks you why you look like a girl, or how come you're so ugly. anyone else, you probably take it in stride but it's the fact you know the little child is not trying to be a smart alec, not trying to be sarcastic. they truly, genuinely ask the question because they don't understand... that what makes their comments and questions all that much worse.

so yeah, can you imagine not having to deal with that?
